I saw this quote the other day and thought 'How true' - You never have to change anything you got up in the middle of the night to write - Saul Bellow.
Thought for the day from Ernest Hemingway: As a writer, you should not judge, you should understand.
Freelancer - did you know that this word was first used by Sir Walter Scott in 'Ivanhoe' to describe a medieval mercenary warrior. It changed into a noun (a freelance) in about 1860 and was recognized as a verb (a journalist who freelances) in 1903.
The Home Spun Year launches were successful, lots of people turned up and went away with a book in their hands - brilliant. Well done Margaret and Noreen!
Birmingham Library Conference - speakers so far are: Rosemary Westwell, Jackie Reynolds, Noreen Wainwright, Hayley Humphrey and Mary McGuire. Chris Carling, a local author, has also promised to submit too. It's coming along nicely.
