I Remember... by Shirley Quinn
Quinn's earnest account of childhood is warming to read. Albeit describing her life growing up in rural Staffordshire during the Second World War, she diverts from the typical sense of struggle and instead focuses on the importance of family and relationships, particularly the pertinence of her friendship with the family dog.
Whilst we live in this modern and technology centered world, it's enlightening to take a step back and read about different lifestyles and how important memories can be.
